British Golf Museum

British Golf Museum

The British Golf Museum traces the history of golf, in both Britain and abroad, from the middle ages through to the present day. It looks at all aspects of the game from the history of the rules through to its Royal connections, from the earliest references to the players who make golf what it is today. Using interesting and informative text panels coupled with an unsurpassed collection of memorabilia, golf's fascinating story is revealed in a stimulating and refreshing way.

The 18th Hole. This new gallery looks at Golfing Equipment and provides a more hands-on approach to the museum. The main attraction is a specially-designed putting green, equipped with hand-made replicas of some of the clubs and balls in the Museum's collection. Just image, you could be Bobby Jones with his famous "Calamity Jane" putter.
