The Dick
The Dick Institute features two Contemporary Art Galleries with a regularly changing programme of exhibitions, and upstairs there are large museum displays of Local and Industrial History, Fine Art and Natural Sciences. Featuring full disabled access, the Dick also houses a public library and reference library.
Main Gallery On the ground floor is the contemporary art gallery, which features regular changing touring exhibitions. Reputed as the finest contemporary art gallery in the west coast of Scotland, this bright, fresh and airy modern space also plays host to many of the gallery talks and workshops which accompany many of the exhibitions. Young Peoples Gallery The Young People’s Gallery can be found on the ground floor and is a dedicated space for young people. This gallery is programmed by the young consultants – a group of young people who are interested in the visual arts and meet regularly to discuss the gallery programme.
