Loch Lomond
This loch is famous the world over for the tranquil beauty of its wooded shores and islands.
The reserve embraces five of the lochs islands, each supporting elegant oak woodland, and the mouth of the River Endrick with its fen, grassland and swamp woodland.
Public car park, toilets and visitor services at Balmaha. Trails and picnic site on Inchcailloch but no public toilets. You need to book for the small campsite. Larger groups should phone the local SNH office in advance to avoid overcrowding.
