2009 marks the 250th anniversary of the birth of Burns and an ideal time to visit the birthplace of Scotland's National Poet, set in the heart of romantic Alloway.
Explore Burns Cottage, Burns Monument, the Brig o'Doon and haunted Kirk Alloway and relax at the Tam O' Shanter Experience visitor centre.
A major redevelopment of Burns National Heritage Park has recently started, which will include the creation of a new museum - Robert Burns Birthplace Museum - to house the most important Burns collection in the world. To find out more about the project, and ways to help, visit www.nts.org.uk/Burns.
