Shop to shore in less than one minute - The unique visitor destination that offers it all

Set on the bonnie banks of Loch Lomond, one of Scotland’s most picturesque spots is Loch Lomond Shores, home to shops, restaurants, the national park gateway centre, The Loch Lomond Aquarium and lots of family fun and entertainment.

Built to offer visitors unrivalled views of Loch Lomond from its sweeping boulevard and its many balconies, Loch Lomond Shores is the hub of a huge variety of things to do and see.

Located in Balloch, gateway to some of Scotland’s most spectacular scenery and home to many of the boats and yachts that sail on the loch, Loch Lomond Shores was created to offer visitors a truly unique experience and has been doing so for over five years.

Shopping
There are a variety of shops at Loch Lomond Shores that are sure to suit all tastes. Jenners department store offers everything from designer fashion for all the family to a large and well stocked food hall that offers the very best Scottish products – including classics such as smoked salmon and malt whisky. There are also smaller boutique-style shops that sell a variety of goods ranging from children’s shoes to diamond rings. Well known brands such as Whittards of Chelsea, Ponden Mill, Catherine Kinloch shoes and Julian Graves have also chosen Loch Lomond Shores as their home.

Eat
Whether it’s an ice cream whilst enjoying the view or dinner with cocktails on a balcony overlooking Loch Lomond, Loch Lomond Shores has a wide variety of options for hungry or thirsty visitors.

Our Kilted Skirlie restaurant offers magnificent views from its large balcony overlooking the loch and stunning interior décor as well as wonderful food – from snacks to three-course dinners. Jenners Cafe and Caffe on the Shores also offer a wide range of tasty hot and cold food or even just a glass of chilled white wine to enjoy at a table outside in the sunshine beside the Loch.

Play
Play at Loch Lomond Shores isn’t restricted to children! With the National Park Gateway Centre located there, visitors of all ages can find out more about the history, geography and wildlife of Loch Lomond and the surrounding area.

For those that want to experience Loch Lomond and the beautiful countryside surrounding it, a bike, pedal boat and canoe hire service is available.

Visitors can also get creative with The Ceramic Experience where a wide range of ceramics to paint and decorate are on offer to them – either as a gift or a memento of their visit. With its bright, fun atmosphere, soft play area and café featuring home baking, it is always a popular spot for families.

Set within the stunning Drumkinnon Tower, The Loch Lomond Aquarium is not only home to some species of fish that would be at home in the actual Loch itself, but also features species from across the world – including sharks! Entertaining as well as educational, staff are on hand to keep visitors informed on each exhibit.

An adventure play park, sandy beach, mini fun fair rides and The Loch Lomond Shores Express – Scotland’s only miniature train - top off the play part of the Loch Lomond Shores.
