Galloway Wildlife Conservation Park

Visit the Galloway Wildlife Conservation Park to see the fantastic collection of native and exotic animals amongst the 27 acres of mixed woodland.
You can spot around 150 animals from all over the world within the peaceful and natural settings as the wood has been tailored to provide large, imaginative enclosures. Look out for the Asian small clawed otters, meerkats and Scottish wildcats.
Children and adults alike will love the close animal encounters and handling sessions including the chance to handle and learn more about the park’s snakes as well as the nature trails and children’s play area.
Wildlife conservation is one of the main aims of the park, and it participates in many international captive breeding programmes. It also works closely with other zoos, wildlife parks and conservation bodies to try and ensure the long-term survival of the world’s rarest and endangered animals.
Facilities for visitors include free coach and car park, a welcoming café serving a good range of drinks and snacks, picnic areas and a gift shop.
