Dean Castle Country Park is an excellent free day out for all the family. The Country Park boasts a 14th century castle, beautiful woodland walks, adventure playground, pets corner, visitor centre, tearoom and shop.

Steeped in history and housing displays of world class collections including historic weapons, armour and musical instruments, Dean Castle is fascinating day out for all ages. Come along and find out what it’s like to wear real armour or try playing one of our replica instruments.

Pets Corner
Kids and adults alike love exploring our aviaries and ponds which are home to ducks, geese and exotic birds such as cockatiels, finches and love birds. Pets Corner also has a selection of animals including guinea pigs, rabbits, sheep and pygmy goats, not forgetting Scott the Clydesdale horse and our donkeys - Timmy and Pip – the noisiest members of Pets Corner.
Visitor Centre
Our Visitor Centre has a tea room with a full menu throughout the day, an auditorium where you can watch our Dean Castle video, a gift shop which sells a variety of gifts for kids and adults and a discovery room where you can learn more about our beautiful countryside.
Adventure Playground
Our modern adventure playground is a fantastic place for the kids to enjoy and have fun!
Woodland Walks
The Country Park covers 200acres, providing g a variety of beautiful walks for all ages and abilities.
Dower House
This is a prestigious venue for all types of conferences and a popular choice for wedding ceremonies.
