Getting There by Railway

The nearest rail stations are at Perth and Gleneagles. Bus or car hire from there to Loch Freuchie. Full details from Crieff Tourist Information Centre.

Getting there by Aeroplane

From Glasgow airport follow the M9 to Bridge of Allan, then take the A84 northwest to Callander and Lochearnhead. Turn off onto the A85 east towards the town of Crieff. Then follow the A822 north for approximately 10 miles/16km to reach the tiny settlement of Amulree. Loch Freuchie is situated just to the northwest of Amulree and is accessed via the unclassified road.
From Edinburgh Airport follow the M90 to Perth, then take the A85 west to Gilmerton. Turn off to follow the A822 north for approximately 10 miles/16km to reach the tiny settlement of Amulree. Loch Freuchie is situated just to the northwest of Amulree and is accessed via the unclassified road.
