Callendar House

Through wars, rebellions and the industrial revolution, Callendar House has played host to many great historical figures over the centuries, including Mary, Queen of Scots, Cromwell and Bonnie Prince Charlie.
Unique amongst Scottish museums, our interpreters bring history to life, creating the most exciting kind of interactive experience. Open daily, the 1825 Kitchen forms the centre-piece of this interactive experience and visitors can sample authentic Georgian food, listen to stories about life below stairs, and watch as kitchen staff go about their daily tasks.
With a changing programme of temporary exhibitions and events, archives, gift shop, The Park Gallery and Teashop at the Stables, and within walking distance of UNESCO World Heritage Site the Antonine Wall, a day out at Callendar House offers something for everyone
