Geilston Gardens
This delightful garden, laid out over 200 years ago, has many interesting features. The house (not open to the public) is thought to date from the late 17th century. The garden retains a sense of private space into which the visitor is invited. The walled garden is laid out with shrub borders, lawns and a herbaceous border that provides summer colour on a grand scale. Fruit, vegetables and cut flowers are grown in the kitchen garden and the Geilston Burn winds its way through enchanting woodland walks.
