GLASSTORM Contemporary Glass Studio
With an emphasis on elegance with strong contemporary design, GLASSTORM has become one of Britain's most exciting new glass studios with glass works been seen in national and international art galleries and museums as well as in some of the most prestigious design retail outlets.
Returning back to Scotland after a decade of living abroad, Brodie and Nicky have already established names for themselves as independent glass artists while living in Europe. They have recently set up GLASSTORM, a contemporary glass studio and gallery in the beautiful town of Tain.
Using their knowledge of Scandinavian and Italian glass-making techniques to great effect, together they strike a perfect balance, creating GLASSTORM's elegant, contemporary handmade glass range edition production pieces, their own individual one-off unique art glass works, installations and public art works.
All works are limited edition or have small production runs and are designed and made in Tain by Brodie and Nicky.
The studio workshop is not a demonstration studio and glassblowing is not guaranteed but visitors are welcome to view the creative glassblowing process when it is taking place or by arrangement prior to visit.
The studio also offers workshops to the public, to enable anyone to experience Glassblowing or Glass Jewellery making for themselves.
GLASSBLOWING / ONE-DAY COURSE I - £150 inclusive all materials/lunch/beverages
This is a fun, safe and exhilarating one-day workshop designed to give a basic introduction to
Glassblowing. A background in the arts is not required, nor is great strength or lung capacity!
Be amazed at how many masterpieces you can create in one day using this magical material.

that have previously attended our beginners' course. This new workshop expands on your
previous experience while promising to be as fun and as exciting as the first.

It is a pleasure to offer a most amazing jewellery workshop using the technique of FUSING glass.
This class will be led by one of the very best glass fusing artists, Angela Saint. Having worked with
Angela in the past, we know what an incredibly talented and energetic teacher she is and we are
delighted to have her join us once again at our GLASSTORM studio for this extra special weekend event.
