Ardkinglas House and Gardens
Ardkinglas Estate nestles at the head of Loch Fyne in Argyll.
This is possibly the most beautiful loch in Scotland and it is only just over one hours drive from Glasgow and half an hour longer from Edinburgh. Although not open to the public, Ardkinglas House, the masterpiece of Robert Lorimer, is registered for weddings and civil ceremonies. These can be held in the house, on the terraces or in the woodland garden perhaps in front of the mightiest conifer in Europe, or come to Ardkinglas for your reception and have it in a marquee on the lawns. Enjoy your ceremony in the wood panelled drawing room with its magnificent fireplace on the first floor.
House and garden tours can be arranged by prior appointment (minimum group size 10) although there are also some days when the house is open. Take the opportunity to have a look round this beautiful and largely unaltered 100 year old mansion house.
Set amidst stunning scenery Ardkinglas has been used as a photographic location and also the setting for TV dramas and films whilst continuing the traditional highland estate activities of farming and stalking. Come and experience the unique atmosphere of this family run highland estate.
Nearby are the Ardkinglas Woodland Gardens, The Tree Shop our retail arm selling unusual native trees and crafts and the world famous Loch Fyne Oyster Bar.

Ardkinglas House Tours
During 2009 there will be a guided house tour every Friday at 2:30pm from April through October.
