Mugdock Country Park is one of Scotland's most Popular visitor attractions offering a great countryside experience. Whether your interests are local history & building heritage, beautiful flora & fauna or general recreation & shopping - Mugdoch has it all.
Once home to 'The Great Marquis, James Graham', remains of Mugdoch Castle (1372) still stand today and only a walk from our visitor centre at Craigend.
Mugdock Country Park - Better by far
Mugdock Country Park is a great place to visit for all the family. The park lies between the Blane and Clyde Valleys just off the A81 and 1 mile south of Strathblane.
Visit our Garden Centre, Tearoom, Giftshop, Discovery Room and Theatre and Conference Suite. Meander through more than 260 hectares of ancient woodland, moorlands and wetlands, by castles and lochs experiencing this special area.
The park boasts over 130 organised events every year suitable for all ages and abilities. Activities range from countryside topics to theatre, concert and film. For regular visitors there is an opportunity to join our new cinema club, gardening group, conservation volunteers and children's nature club.
All buildings are wheelchair accessible and mobility equipment is available for loan. The park is open daily and entry is always free.

During the months of July and August a 30 minute bus shuttle service is in operation from Milngavie Railway Station to the Country Park. Alternatively the local area's Ring 'n 'Ride service 600 can be booked on 0845 128 4037.
