Getting there from the Information Centre

From Castle Douglas TIC, by car take the A713 to New Galloway.

Getting There by Car

From Dumfries take the A75 west to Stranraer. At Castle Douglas take the A713, signposted Ayr, for 12 miles. Turn left onto the A712 into New Galloway. The CatStrand is situated on the High Street in the centre of the village.

Getting There by Railway

Nearest train stations are Dumfries to the southeast and Ayr to the north, both 30 miles away.

Getting there by Aeroplane

Prestwick airport is approximately 40 miles away. Then by car take the A77 to Ayr, and then the A713 to New Galloway.
Glasgow airport is approximately 80 miles away. Travel from Glasgow to Ayr, and then take the A713 to New Galloway.

Getting There by Ferry

From Cairnryan, approximately 50 miles by car; take the A77 onto the A75 to Castle Douglas, and then the A713 north to New Galloway.
