We are the ONLY manufacturers of this unique jewellery anywhere in the world.
Our factory and Visitor Centre is situated in Pitlochry in the central Highlands of Scotland an area of outstanding natural beauty. Pitlochry is the ideal location as the surrounding hills provide the natural heather from which our special jewellery is made.
The heather is sustainably collected locally, cleaned and then the stems are dyed and compressed into a solid block. This block is then cut into slices and shaped into individual pieces by our skilled crafts people.
Every single piece of this hand-made jewellery is an original, as no two are ever the same, making it the perfect Scottish souvenir and Christmas gift!
Heathergems gained huge exposure recently by featuring on TV across the USA & Canada on The Discovery Channel. The TV show called 'How It's Made' follows the making of Heather Gems process filmed in Pitlochry.
