Designed by the brilliant golf architect, Dr Alistair McKenzie, of Augusta fame, the course is a flat and beautifully manicured parkland course with little rough.
The large two-tiered greens, many well positioned bunkers and trees and the presence of the River Deveron make the course a severe but fair challenge to golfers of all abilities.
