The MacTaggart Leisure Centre

A community-owned business, the Mactaggart Leisure Centre is situated in the heart of Bowmore next to the Distillery. It first opened its doors as a swimming pool in 1991 and has since become a state-of-the-art multi-purpose facility. The leisure centre houses a 25m x 4 lane swimming pool, fitness suite, sauna and vertical tancab. There is also a sports shop offering a wide range of leisure wear and a multi-purpose room, complete with kitchen and audio/visual equipment, available for hire for parties, meetings and conferences. The leisure centre and its facilities coupled with the wide range of courses and fun activities during the summer season promote health, fitness and well-being of both locals and visitors alike as well as providing all weather recreation for those rainy days!
