Southerness Golf Club
Situated on a stunning stretch of the Solway Firth, this championship course has had the honour of staging many leading tournaments including the Scottish Amateur Championship, the Scottish Ladies’ Championship and the British Ladies’ Championship.
Designed by the renowned designer McKenzie Ross, the 18-hole, 6566 yards, SSS 73, par 69 course is recognised as one of the best links golf courses Southern Scotland has to offer. The level terrain allows for easy walking with no hills to climb whilst the course design means you are seldom aware of others on the course. Perhaps this is why the course has featured in Golf Monthly’s list of top 100 courses in Britain and Ireland each year since 1990 and Golf World ranked the club as the sixth best value course in Britain and Ireland
Southerness’s idyllic location also means you can enjoy panoramic views of the Solway Firth, the Lake District to the south, and the Galloway Hills to the west whilst you play.
