New Galloway Golf Club
A superb 9-hole course with excellent tees and first-class greens, the New Galloway Golf Club is a gem among rural courses in Scotland.
The course (4540 yards, SSS 67, par 66) is noted for excellent play and its superb views. It climbs from a woodland setting up to the first and second fairway to open moorland that provides a fantastic panorama of Loch Ken and the surrounding Galloway Hills. This upland layout is also an absolute heaven for wildlife - buzzards fly over head, wild flowers flourish - so you don't have to be a golfer to enjoy the course.
During the week it is normally very easy to get on to the course: just turn up, pay your green fee or use your Gateway to Golf Pass voucher. However, please note that booking is advisable in the summer and at weekends. Restrictions only apply when club competitions are on - please check with club. Golf parties are welcome.
