Good quality hybrid bikes with gel seats, helmets and whatever else you need are supplied and accommodation of all standards – from 3-to-5 star B&B’s, guest houses, to the region’s best local countryside and coastal hotels. Another advantage of taking an organised tour is that it means you can leave the luggage carrying to somebody else! They also assist with arrival and departure information including pickup from Dumfries or Lockerbie railway stations – or Prestwick, Glasgow, Edinburgh or Newcastle airports if required.

As a guide, a three-night tour staying in 3-star B&Bs in the different towns, such as the Food Town of Castle Douglas, the Artists’ town of Kirkcudbright and the National Scenic Area of Gatehouse of Fleet, with cycle hire and luggage transfer is around £195 per person – based on two sharing.
