Running The Highlands, a newly formed business based in the Cairngorms and Royal Deeside, offers a wide range of running holidays and associated acrivities. Their holidays should appeal to runners of all abilities; from those who are starting out to those who have been running for years. The holidays are offered right through the year. The different seasons offer varied but (almost) always enjoyable running conditions.
The RTH team are all experienced runners with considerable local knowledge. They have a good mix of qualifications in fitness training, running, flexibility, sports massage, nutrition, running form and technique and first aid. They all have a passion for running and believe that the running trails in the area are amongst some of the best in the country. They would like others to find out just how good they are too!
You can pretty much spend as long or as short an amount of time on an RTH holiday as suits you. You could spend a couple of weeks on a tailored RTH holiday in the area or you could just decide to go on a one hour guided run (perhaps with a leg massage thrown in for good luck!).
Neil Stewart, owner and co-ordinator of Running The Highlands says "This part of Scotland offers the runner a fantastic variety of running experiences. There is also a huge range of non running activities - from mountain biking to quad biking and from gliding to golf....from visiting castles on the Castle Trail to sampling the occasional wee dram on the Whisky Trail. However, despite there being so much to do, it remains a quiet and peaceful part of the country."
