The Carnegie Leisure Centre opened in 1905 courtesy of Andrew Carnegie, steel manufacturer and philanthropist.
Discover the comprehensive sport and leisure facility that lies behind a Victorian facade. It has been expanded and modernised over the years to ensure that it meets the aspirations of a rapidly growing community.
The Centre provides a superb range of facilities that include:-
* Swimming Pools - main, children's and training pool
* Gymnastic training centre - pre-school/ child development classes, club and squad coaching sessions.
* Health suite - Turkish & Aeratone suites featuring sauna, steam, turkish and aeratone baths complete with relaxation areas.
* Sports hall (4 badminton courts)

* Combat room - martial arts/ bouncy castle parties and much much more...
