Askival Carriages
Askival Carriages is a small family run business available to hire for Weddings, Highland Games, Promotions, Film Work and occasional Tourist tours or even just to step back in time for a little while.
For Weddings we have lovingly restored a hundred year old Victoria Carriage to its former glory. The carriage will be tastefully decorated with silk flowers and white ribbons and comes complete with Carriage lamps. Your Driver and Groom will be dressed in grey morning suits complete with Top Hats. Our aim is to make your wedding day extra special and as memorable as possible.
We use Sandy - Alexander the Great - to pull our Wedding Carriage. An 18-hands high Clydesdale Gelding he's a gentle giant and experienced and extensively trained in Wedding Work. Sandy will be immaculately groomed with his mane and tail plaited in traditional Clydesdale fashion with red and white flights and ribbons.
Sandy has a quiet and calm temperament and is comfortable with traffic and crowds. He is also used for Cart rides at Highland Games during the summer.
We are also available for hire for Highland Games, Promotions, Film Work, Anniversaries, Birthdays, Gala Days, Occasional Tourist Tours...or simply as a special treat for a special someone.
