We offer high quality, friendly, private tours, at an affordable price, from any pick-up point in the UK, including Edinburgh , Glasgow and London. Tours range from the classic must-see tour of the Highlands and Skye to more specific tours featuring Scottish and Celtic folklore, traditional Scots folk music and contemporary ecology. Tours are very much about understanding Scotland, exploring amongst other areas: myths, legends, folk-tales, customs and beliefs, the way we make our identity, material culture. We provide one way tours, and also free day and multi-day stop-offs at destinations en-route such as York and Edinburgh.
Tours are for up to seven people in the comfort of an air-conditioned VW Caravelle. From £35 per person per day. You can specify the type and level of accommodation you require and if booking a multi-day tour we will source all the accommodation for your trip free of charge. We can also advise you on where to eat with an emphasis on the very best of Scots cuisine, on locally sourced ingredients and on special dietary needs.
Classic Tour:
The must see' tour of Scotland , starting in Edinburgh or Glasgow. Including the Isle of Skye and Loch Ness, other special highlights here include exploring off-the-beaten track stone age and iron age sites, Lord of the Ring -like rock formations and a fairy glen (3 or 4 Days).
Scots and Celtic Folklore Tour:
This tour explores oral tradition, very much alive today in Scotland . Covering the relationship of people to land and sea in the less well-known North-East of Scotland, this tour looks amongst other things at Scots narrative, music, art, lore and oral history (3 or 4 Days).
Grand Tour:
Harks back to the age when respectable' folks did a grand tour of Europe , to further their education and broaden their horizons. This tour starts at your place of choice and takes in as much of England and Scotland as is required. This tour can finish in Scotland and can include free day and multi-day stop-offs at destinations' en-route such as the perennial favourite cities of York and Edinburgh (8 Days +)
