Staffa Trips

Don't miss going to Staffa on M.B. Iolaire of Iona with Davie Kirkpatrick. He sails twice daily. The trip takes 3 hours including at least one hour ashore on Staffa, weather permitting. En route Davie will point out any sealife and distant islands giving you a commentary once the spectacular rock formations of Staffa become closer. You will see Fingals' Cave and if conditions are good get ashore to see the puffins in their burrows during the breeding season.
You can board or leave Iolaire at Fionnphort or Iona enabling you to spend time on Iona. The Iona ferry will take you across on a single ticket at
frequent intervals. With this flexibility it enables you to visit Iona Abbey and the nunnery ruins as well as the shops and eating places.
If you are coming from Oban for the day it is advisable to get the early sailing out of Oban and the last sailing back from Craignure, giving you plenty of time to enjoy Mull, Iona and Staffa.
