From Ardfern - (Loch Craignish) sail aboard "Sea Leopard" for a memorable cruise through the spectacular scenery and abundant wildlife of the Firth of Lorn, Special Area of Conservation.
Gulf of Corryvreckan - the world's third largest whirlpool. Regular trips to and through the "speckled cauldron". The best time to see Corryvreckan is at a Spring tide which is around a new or full moon.
Wildlife - there can be no guarantee of seeing any particular species, however, depending on the season, there are regular sightings of common and grey seals, porpoise, red deer, feral goats, eagles and a variety of sea birds with the added possibility of peregrine falcon, dolphin, otter and minke whale.
The Boat - "Sea Leopard" is a Lochin 33' powered by a perkins 300hp engine giving a cruising speed of around 10 knots, top speed 17 knots. She is coded M.C.A. Category 2 to carry up to 12 passengers 60 miles from a safe haven.
The owner, Skipper - Lindsay Johnston holds a Yachtmaster Offshore Commercial certificate and has 28 years experience including two Atlantic crossings. He has also worked as a Countryside Ranger and Outdoor Leader.
