I am a Blue Badge Scottish Tourist Guide, fully qualified and insured to guide throughout Scotland. I offer half day and full day tours within Grampian Highlands, Angus and Perthshire, including Aberdeen and Dundee city tours. My tours are for groups or individuals, by coach or my own car, which is fully insured for this.
My aim is to interpret our beautiful landscape, history, traditions and wonderful buildings in an enjoyable way, using factually-correct information and entertaining anecdotes. These are often based on my own experience as a Scot who has grown up in Scotland.
I guide in English and (fluent) Norwegian, which I can vary to "skandinavisk" for visitors from other parts of "Norden". I can follow prepared itineraries, advising on practicality and timing if required, or can tailor-make an itinerary to fit with visitors' interests. My own interests include whisky, Scottish cuisine, wildlife, country living and Scottish folk music and song.
I can also offer tutored whisky tastings and after dinner talks (for example "In the Footsteps of Queen Victoria") for groups and individuals. Prices on request.
Translations can also be arranged from Norwegian into English (by myself) and into Norwegian (by carefully selected native Norwegians). Other languages and prices on request.
