Spindrift Boat Trips
Come aboard Spindrift for a comfortable wildlife watching and island visit.
Our daily trips for up to 12 guests visit the beautiful and remote Isle of Rona or the Isle of Raasay from Portree Pier. The short sea passage (no more than 1 hour and 15 minutes) leaves plenty time to spend ashore to walk and explore.
Bring along a packed lunch for your Rona trip and wear sturdy boots to enjoy the rugged landscape. Visit the ruined settlement at Dry Harbour. Take a hike up Meal Arcasaid to the viewpoint and enjoy the fantastic views to Skye and the Mainland and to the Outer Isles on a clear day. Church cave is also accessible and a unique remnant of the old community.
On Raasay you can stop for lunch at the hotel or visit the local shop. Take the opportunity to walk up Dun Caan and enjoy yet more amazing views toward Applecross and to Skye.

Spindrift is an extremely comfortable boat. Come aboard and enjoy the passage to your Island destination, either from the vantage point of the fly bridge and foredeck or from the comfort and warmth of the saloon. You have the freedom to move about the boat as you wish. Refreshments are available on each trip, free of charge.
On our way to the Island destination look out for the wildlife, we regularly spot minke whales, white tailed sea eagles, dolphin, porpoise, basking sharks, seals and numerous species of seabirds including puffins, gannets and skua.
Make the most of the numerous photographic opportunities, or just sit back and enjoy the ever changing scenery.
We return to Portree in good time for dinner, usually by 4 p.m. depending on departure times. Perhaps take the opportunity to extend your sea time and opt to join us on an evening sunset cruise.
