Whether you are planning on coming for a day, or longer, there are lots of things to see and do in and around Newcastleton. You will find us off the A7, in the beautiful valley of Liddesdale in the southern Scottish Borders.
There is no need to ring for a tee time on the golf course, it’s open all year. Fish in the Rivers Esk and Liddel are plentiful, permits for the day or longer can be bought in the village. We offer walks to suit all ages and abilities – tough terrain or wonderful strolls – in forests or next to the water’s edge.
If you don’t fancy walking, book a trek on horseback through the forests. If your feeling lazy then take a drive around our historical sites. When you’ve finished pop into the village, sign the visitors book in the heritage centre – open from April till September- and then treat yourselves in one of our friendly hostelries.
