Maclaurin Art Galleries
The Maclaurin Art Galleries are just ½ a mile from Rabbie Burns cottage in Rozelle Estate on the outskirts of Ayr. The Galleries are in the former servants quarters and stable block of Rozelle House. The Maclaurin Trust run the galleries in memory of James Henry Maclaurin. There is a varied collection of traditional & modern exhibitions and a representative sample from the Maclaurin collection. This is one of the best 20th century collections in the country, which is periodically lent to other galleries. The collection contains works by commissioned artists and some that have been purchased by the Trust. There is also a small collection of children's work by the winners of the Maclaurin Art Competition. Operated by South Ayrshire Council.
