Citadel Leisure Centre
Situated at the south end of Ayr Beach, the Citadel Leisure Centre has a swimming pool, diving pool, teaching pool, cafeteria, crèche, dance studio and squash courts. There is also 5 a side football, basketball, volleyball, netball, indoor cricket and hockey, badminton and short tennis in the main sports hall. Concerts and exhibitions can also be held in the main hall. Genesis Gym is part of the leisure centre and is open to the public. It has the latest cardio and resistance training machines and various aerobics classes are run each day. The relaxation area of the gym has 2 saunas, steam room, plunge pool and Jacuzzi.
The Citadel is operated by South Ayrshire Council.
Pricing Information: Swimming - Adult £2.30, Child £1.20, Spectator £1, Family £6.60. Gym - £5.90, Aerobics - £3.20
Facilities For Disabled: There are disabled parking spaces and assistance available from members of staff. There is a ramp at the entrance and ramps and a lift inside. There are 2 chair lifts to allow access to swimming pools.
Opening Exceptions: Relaxation area open to ladies only on Thursdays and to men only on Fridays
