Harbour Guest House

Matthew and Margaret Thom assure you of a warm welcome to their family Guest House in Stranraer overlooking the harbour. This late Victorian town house offers commanding views over Loch Ryan and is ideally situated for trains and ferries yet central for the town centre.
All rooms are centrally heated, with fridge, tea and coffee making facilities, colour television, hair dryer and full en-suite facilities. Extensive parking available, private secure parking available but limited. We have a secured area for cycles and motorbikes with drying facilities available. Walkers and cyclists most welcome. This is a non-smoking establishment.
Stranraer serves as a market town, seaport, garrison town and administrative centre and serves as the gateway to the Rhins of Galloway and the Mull of Galloway, Scotland's most southerly point. To the west lies Portpatrick a beautiful resort complete with harbour and the Southern Upland Way close by, ideal for those who enjoy serious walking. For those who enjoy a garden walk there are three famous gardens in the area that are open to the public, Castle Kennedy, Glenwhan and Logan.
Agnew Park is an ideal adventure playground with its pedal boats, train rides and crazy golf. There are two bowling greens in the town where the visitor is welcome and for the more energetic you can play tennis at Stair Park.
