From Edinburgh Centre: Turn left along Waverly Bridge. At mini roundabout turn left into Market Street. Take first right into Jeffrey Street and proceed through traffic lights into St Mary's Street. Continue straight on past The Royal Commonwealth Pool following directions for A7 and DALKEITH.
At Sherriffhall roundabout take 4th exit direction GALASHIELS. Continue over next two roundabouts then turn right at TESCO direction BONNYRIGG A6094.
Drive straight through Bonnyrigg (traffic lights at crossroads in town centre) then turn left after about 2mls into ROSEWELL.
Hillwood is exactly at the 30mph limit sign as you enter the village. White house on left, arched doorway.

Getting there by Aeroplane

Exit Edinburgh Airport , pass mini roundabout at hotel, turn left at next roundabout direction EDINBURGH/CITY BYPASS A720
Follow signs for CITY BYPASS/THE SOUTH & EAST A720
All the junctions on the bypass are named, and you will pass Dreghorn, Lothianburn and Straiton. Exit bypass at LASSWADE junction, turn right at bottom of slip direction LASSWADE/BONNYRIGG. Follow road past KINGS ACRE golf course and through Lasswade village. Turn right after bridge direction LASSWADE HIGH SCHOOL CENTRE/POLTONHALL. Continue to end of that road through Poltonhall to T-junction. Turn left direction BONNYRIGG/DALKIETH (A6094) and then immediately right, direction ROSEWELL. Hillwood is exactly at the 30mph limit sign as you enter the village. White house on left, arched doorway.
