You must explore Holyrood Park, which is beside the Scottish Parliament and Holyrood Palace at the lower end of the Royal Mile.
There are great views like this one: you are standing on Salisbury Craigs looking east over St Margaret's Loch and Arthur's Seat. Turn around and you have great views over the Old Town towards Edinburgh Castle.
Further north and west you can see the hills of Fife and the Forth Rail Bridge, looping over the River Forth like a rollercoaster or perhaps a giant iron Loch Ness Monster.
