Acer Lodge Guest House - Getting There

Getting there from the Information Centre

Make way to Princes Street, cross straight over into St Andrews Square and continue to the west side of the square. You then come to George Street. Turn left onto George Street and continue for 400 yards until bus stops show the numbers 41,42 or 43. Take any of these buses, asking for Queensferry Road at the Clermiston Junction (3 miles - around 10 minutes). On leaving bus, stay on same footpath and walk in same direction as bus was travelling. Acer Lodge is 150 yards on the left.

Getting There by Railway

On arriving at Edinburgh Waverley Station walk up the steps to Princes Street.

At the top of the steps look to the left and you will see a bus stop about 20 yards away. This displays a selection of bus numbers including a 43.

Take to 43 bus asking for Clermiston Junction. This should take about 15/20 minutes depending on the time of day (rush Hour takes longer). On boarding the bus ask for an 80p fare and as they do not give change have the 80p (£1.60 for 2 etc.) ready. Ask the driver to put you off at Clermiston Junction (the junction of Clermiston Road and Queensferry Road).

On alighting from the bus continue to walk in the same directions as the bus is travelling and you will see our sign on the left about 75 yards away.

Getting there by Aeroplane

Follow signs for city centre. After 1.5 miles, go under Gogar Roundabout and continue for 200 metres. After emerging from other side, turn left at Shell garage and follow signs for Forth Road Bridge/Barnton. After a further mile on reaching the Barnton Roundabout, turn right for city centre. After three quarters of a mile, Acer Lodge is on the right - there is a sign outside.
