Set in the grounds of the owner's home in the conservation village of East Linton, this spacious mews style cottage is the ideal base to explore the East Lothian countryside, beaches and renowned golf courses, as well as Edinburgh which is only 40 minutes' drive away.
Overlooking the owner's garden and enjoying its own courtyard with garden furniture and barbecue, the cottage is stylishly furnished, light and comfortable. The accommodation consists of: (ground floor) - breakfast kitchen, separate WC, (first floor) - lounge with open fire, dining room, 2 bedrooms (1 double and 1 single with pull-out bed), bathroom with shower over bath, toilet and basin. Cot and high-chair available on request.
East Linton is a picturesque village with a variety of shops including the baker's providing freshly baked bread, rolls, croissants and cakes; the butcher's selling local beef, a wide variety of sausages and home cured bacon; the delicatessen providing cold meats, cheeses, gateaux and local produce; the convenience store, the chemist, the coffee shop and the newsagent's. In addition, there are three pubs in the village, serving local beers and food.
There are many lovely walks around East Linton including a riverside walk along to the neighbouring village of Tyninghame where you can stop for some lunch, before returning to East Linton, or for those looking for more strenuous exercise, a walk up Traprain Law (725 feet high), a distinctive dome-shaped hill a few miles to the south of the village.
