Edinburgh New Town Apartment is an elegant Grade A listed Georgian property situated in a leafy square on the eastern edge of Edinburgh's famous New Town. Set right in the heart of this bustling city, it is only five minutes walk from the east end of Edinburgh's main shopping thoroughfare of Princes Street and is an even shorter walk to the ever increasing number of designer shops in Multrees Walk, including Louis Vuitton, Harvey Nichols and Emporio Armani.
The exceptionally spacious accommodation consists of a large airy drawing room, equally large dining kitchen, 3 double/twin bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. The apartment can comfortably sleep up to 8 guests.
This elegant Grade A Listed Georgian apartment was built by James Begg in 1791. It occupies a large corner plot on the ground floor of a substantial building which was completed after the Napoleonic Wars.
It is set back from the street, with access to the main door via a walkway which bridges the under pavement cellars (a very common architectural style in the New Town).
The National Portrait Gallery in Queen Street and the Nelson Monument on Calton Hill are just two places of historical interest that are both within easy walking distance.
Established in 1934, the famous and reputedly best stocked delicatessen in the UK, Valvona & Crolla, is one of the local shops which serve the property.
The Playhouse Theatre which hosts all the West End musicals is less than a two minute walk away, as is the Vue twelve screen multiplex cinema. The area also boasts a large and varied number of bars, restaurants, jazz and comedy clubs to keep you very well entertained in the evenings.
ACCOMMODATION:
The Drawing Room is very large (27 feet long and 18 feet wide) with three Georgian windows, one of which is a large bay window. There is a large Georgian Fireplace with an electric 'stove style' fire. The room still retains all its original cornice work.
It is very comfortably furnished with a four seater sofa, a three seater sofa ,which converts into a double bed and a large single armchair. The room also has a large flat screen television with cable channels and DVD player. For your convenience, the Drawing Room also has Internet access and a CD player.
The apartment benefits from a very large and very well equipped Kitchen with an equally large separate Dining area. The room has two large windows with views out onto the park in Gayfield Square.

Two of the bedrooms have zip/link beds which means they have the flexibility of being used as double rooms with a super king size bed in each or as twin rooms with 2 single beds in each. Both these rooms benefit from their own full en suites. The third bedroom is also a double with a king-size bed.

- A non refundable deposit of 30% is required on booking
- Balance of payment is due one month prior to stay
- A refundable breakages deposit is also required to be paid along with the balance

- A welcome pack of essentials awaits your arrival
- Travel cot, high chair, plastic dishes and cutlery are available on request
- Guests can be personally welcomed if requested in advance
- Weekly housekeeping can be arranged for stays of two weeks or more

- The apartment is non smoking and no pets are allowed
- For stays longer than three weeks, a discounted rate can be negotiated (not during the Festival)
