Torphichen Kirk
Church of Scotland
Built in 1756 on the site of the nave of the 12th-century preceptory, it is a T-shaped building with three galleries including a lairds loft. Two centre pews can be tipped back to form extended communion tables. Sanctuary stone in the graveyard. Preceptory church adjoining in the care of Historic Scotland.
Sunday Service: 11.15am Open parish church and preceptory Easter to end October, Saturday 11.00am-5.00pm, Sunday 2.00-5.00pm.
Exhibition. Charge for entry to preceptory. Groups welcome for guided tours of both buildings, telephone for details.
