St Johns Edinburgh, is one of architect William Burns finest early 19th-century buildings and is known for having perhaps the finest collection of stained glass in the country. Organ originally by Father Willis, 1901. The church is situated at the West End of Princes St. Thousands of people walk past our doors every day. From April to September, volunteer Guardians are in the church ensure that there is someone to welcome visitors and answer their questions. You are warmly invited to come and visit us, to admire our beautiful building, light a candle or pray, have a chat, stay for a service, meet with God in the city centre.
In addition to daily worship in the church, it also houses a vibrant community including One World Shop, Cornerstone Bookshop, Peace and Justice Centre and Cornerstone Café. Sunday Services: Holy Communion 8.00am, Sung Eucharist 9.45am, Choral Matins 11.15am, Choral Evensong 6.00pm, Eucharist with music from Taizé 8.00pm; Weekday Service: 1pm; Communion Service: Wednesday 11.00am
