St Peter's Church

Regarded as Robert Lorimers most innovative design, St Peters was built in two stages: 1906-27 and the nave completed 1928-29. A tall square Italianate campanile watches over a welcoming courtyard. Sculpture on the apse of The Crucifixion by Joseph Hayes. The towering nave in white-washed brick is lit by six tall windows. Stained glass by Morris and Gertrude A Meredith Williams, Nina Millar Davidson, and Pierre Fourmaintraux. Lead font with fish motif by G P Bankart.
Masses: Sunday 9.00am, 11.00am and 5.30pm; Saturday 12.00 noon; Weekdays 9.00am

Open 20 minutes before services and during confessions on Saturdays 11.15-11.45am and 6.30-7.00pm
