St Christopher's
Church of Scotland
Built by James McLachlan in 1934-38, the foundation stone was laid by John Buchan, author of The Thirty Nine Steps. The exterior is of variegated red brick with round arched windows and tiled roof. The interior is a darker plum-coloured brick with a low wagon roof and segmental arches. The organ, Ingram 1900, came from St Catherines Argyll and was installed here in 1969. There are two stained glass windows by Sax Shaw and one by George Reid.
Sunday Service: 10.30am; Communion on last Sunday in January, March, June and October. Short Communion after Family Services on the first Sunday of the month
