St Nichlos Buccleuch Parish Church

Medieval church, became collegiate in 1406. Nave and transepts 1854 by David Bryce. James, 1st Earl of Morton and his wife Princess Joanna (the profoundly deaf third daughter of James I) are buried within the choir, c.1498. Memorial monument with their ef?gies mark the burial site. Organ by Binns, 1906. Two hundred yards east of A68/A6094 junction.
