Livingston Village Kirk

There has been a church on the site since 12th century. The present building was rebuilt 1732. Late 18th-century pews and pulpit with Gothic sounding board and a pretty stair. Pewter communion vessels and old collecting shovels on display. Plaque in entrance commemorates Covenanters from village drowned off Orkney. Kirkyard has some ?ne monuments from 17th and 18th centuries, including some lively headstones featuring phoenixes and leafy cartouches. Close to Heritage Centre.
