St Mary's Church

Built as the chapel for Dalkeith Palace in 1843 by William Burn and David Bryce. Early English style with splendid features: double hammerbeam roof, stained glass windows, heraldic floor tiles by Minton, and water-powered organ by David Hamilton of Edinburgh, installed 1845.

Opening Hours
Open on Sunday 2.00-4.00pm from May to August; on Midlothian Doors Open Day in September, and at other times by arrangement, telephone Mr Grieve 0131 663 4817. Summer concerts. Charity fun day in September
