Scottish Storytelling Centre - John Knox House


The Scottish Storytelling Centre and John Knox House is the new home of Scotland's stories on Edinburgh's Royal Mile.
The historic house includes an exhibition exploring the life and times of Knox and Mary, Queen of Scots, and the Centre hosts an exciting programme of live storytelling, theatre, literature and arts events.
On three floors, John Knox House: Inside History exhibition highlights the 15th centuary building's beautiful craftsmanship and the stories of its famous inhabitants. Come close to the most dramatic conflicts in Scotland's history. Stand where they stood and hear the drama in their own words.
The Centre houses a free permanent exhibition, Scotlands Stories, as well as a gift shop, cafe and accessible facilities. Come and discover Scotland's story heritage for yourself.

Monday to Saturday 10am until 6pm all year
Sunday 12 noon until 6pm July and August
