Maid of the Forth River Cruises and Inchcolm Ferry

Cruise Only - 1.5hrs
Cruise from South Queensferry under the famous Forth Bridge down to lovely Inchcolm Island, the 'Iona of the East.' Enjoy magnificent views of castles, island fortresses and wartime ruins in addition to the rich sealife of the Forth. See Grey and Common seals, Puffins, Fulmars, Guillemots and the occasional Dolphin or Porpoise. Heated saloon and licensed bar/café. Full commentary covers all the interesting landmarks as you enjoy your 1.5hrs cruise to the island and back.

Cruise and explore Inchcolm - 3hrs
When booking you have the option of going ashore at Inchcolm and catching the next ferry back. This gives you an hour and a half to explore the island, Historic Abbey and Visitor Centre. There are sandy beaches, picnic areas and wartime fortifications. Many Seal Pups are born on the beaches of Inchcolm and there are lots of nesting Seabirds to be seen. We also operate a restricted service from Newhaven, Leith - this small harbour is tidal so you must check our schedule carefully. The 'cruise only' option is not available from Newhaven where only Inchcolm Landing trips are possible.

Evening Cruise - 3hrs
A popular option is our evening Jazz & BBQ Cruises. Enjoy Dixieland Jazz from our resident band whilst you tap your feet and enjoy the great atmosphere. We serve draught Belhaven Best, lager and all the usual spirits plus the Captain's Choice range of malt whiskies. Our optional sizzling chicken from the BBQ, salad and crusty French bread supper will complete your evening. Private Charters are welcome with various catering options, Office outings, Corporate Events, Fun Days or Birthday Parties, and you can choose to have our Jazz Band or a Disco. Other options include a Fun Casino or Karaoke.

Romantic Inchcolm
Inchcolm is a beautiful and unique venue for weddings. You can privately charter the 'Maid' to transport your wedding party in style. Last year, the top wedding magazine 'Real Weddings' chose Scotland's Top 20 Weddings and two of those chosen were held on Inchcolm! It is even possible to get married on the boat.
