The Royal Terrace Hotel is part of an expansive Georgian Terrace overlooking Scotland's historical capital, the city of Edinburgh.
Architect William H Playfair designed this hotel in 1821 which has retained much of its original period charm and character.
With a spectacular view of the Firth of Forth, this hotel is situated only a few minutes away from the city centre.
The hotel's unique private landscaped and terraced gardens offer a hidden retreat to visitors and guests alike!
Originally the Royal Terrace consisted of four elegant town houses taking nearly fifty years to complete due to the economic depression of the era.
Today the Royal Terrace consists of 6 original Georgian town houses, numbers 16-22
The houses were original homes for many famous individuals including David Louis Stevenson, the uncle of Rober Louis Stevenson, John Crabbie, famous for Ginger Wine, Charles Piazzi Smith, the Astronomer Royal of Scotland during 1870 who also became famous for being the first person to take photographs of the inside of the Pyramids!
Our psychic visited the terrace and asks:
Who is the lady who walks a particular room and the corridors of the third floor?
Who is the gentleman who occupies the original hall area near the downstairs bar?
What is the cause of cupboards opening of their own accord?
All our psychic’s experiences during our initial visit were confirmed by the staff of the castle. Previous guests and staff have reported strange noises, unexplained movements and apparitions appearing in photographs!
