Castle Venlaw Hotel is an imposing 18th century castle set on top of Venlaw Hill with Panoramic views across Peebles and the surrounding countryside. The Castle is situated in 4 acres of lawned and wooded grounds and is within the Royal Burgh of Peebles.
The Castle comprises 12 individually designed bedrooms, most of which are particularly large with spectacular views across the town of Peebles and the countryside beyond. Unusually, for a property of its size, Castle Venlaw offers three rooms with Four Poster beds as well as a Romantic Suite which is the ultimate in comfort and luxury.
The award winning restaurant, Le Cepage, with its magnificent fireplace, elaborate plastered ceiling and cornices seats 35 guests in comfort. Our Chef produces delicious and imaginative dishes using fresh local ingredients wherever possible.
Our cosy Library Bar is open to residents and non residents on a daily basis, serving morning coffees, lunches and afternoon teas. In the winter, the fire is lit to welcome back travellers after their day out.
We can cater for weddings from 2 to 35 people. The hotel is fully licensed for civil partnerships, civil weddings and religious ceremonies.
