"The melon was ripe and the parma ham was full of flavour. A very well balanced dish where the melon and parma ham complemented each other."
Seared Fillet of Veal, lightly curried Lentil de Puy compote Maderia Jus
"The veal was of excellent quality and cooked to enhance the flavour and succulencce. The veal was served pink and very tender. The Puy lentils were well cooked with a mild curry flavour which complemented the Maderia Jus. The dish was well executed both in preperation of the ingredients and the cooking."
Zabaglione & Mango Syrup
"The different textures between the parfait and iced zabaglione worked well and were refreshing. The passion fruit and mango syrup complemented the dish well with a very good combination of flavours, a well balanced dish which refreshed the palate."
The décor is in keeping with a Scottish country house hotel. We offer fine dining and would like to believe that mealtimes are exceptional. Dinner is served at 8.00pm and all guests eat together in the dining room at one long table.
The atmosphere can be quiet before dinner but becomes enlivened as the evening progresses.
We choose the best produce from Scotland's natural larder: seafood landed in the morning can be on the table for lunch; locally reared beef, lamb, game and venison are delivered daily and cooked to perfection by our chefs.
