Cullen

View over the village of Cullen to a beach and headland

Information enquiry

Famous for its skink, Cullen is an attractive seaside village in Moray.

The perhaps rather oddly-named Cullen skink is an exalted traditional Scottish delicacy that has found its way onto menus across the globe. It is basically a creamy potato and smoked haddock soup, the fish fresh from the North Sea by which Cullen rests.

There is a harbour and a long stretch of sandy beach, and excellent coastal walking to Sunnyside Beach and the ruins of Findlater Castle.
